Getting started
-
We operate as an out-of-network provider. This allows us to deliver highly personalized care that's tailored to your needs during this special time, without the constraints or limitations often set by insurance companies. We'll provide you with a superbill after each visit, which contains everything you need to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
-
In California, you can start physical therapy right away without a prescription! We'll keep your provider in the loop by sending them your plan of care after your first visit.
-
Due to federal guidelines, we are unable to bill Medicare or Medicaid. We also can't provide a superbill for these programs. If you're enrolled in either, please let us know so we can ensure your benefits remain protected. If you'd still like to receive care from us, you can choose to pay out of pocket for our wellness program.
-
The number of sessions depends on your body's response, your commitment to your home exercises, and your specific goals. While some people feel better in just a few visits, others need a longer-term plan for lasting results. Our personalized approach allows us to provide truly one-on-one care focused on getting you the best results in the fewest visits possible — a longer plan can also be valuable for long-term preventative and supportive care.
Receiving care
-
It's never too early to start! You can start physical therapy at any point in your pregnancy.
We recommend beginning in your first trimester to prepare your body for the physical demands of pregnancy and labor. Your personalized plan will evolve with each trimester to match your body's changing needs, helping you feel strong and confident all the way to your due date.
-
We can see you as soon as you feel ready to address any aches or pains from pregnancy and birth, such as back pain from holding your baby or shoulder pain from breastfeeding.
For an internal pelvic floor exam and treatment, it is suggested to wait until after your 6-week postpartum check-up with your OBGYN and receive their clearance.
For your convenience, you are welcome to bring your baby with you to your sessions.
-
Yes, absolutely! A C-section is still a major surgery, and it's normal for your core and pelvic floor muscles to feel a little disconnected or weak afterward. Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you heal fully and safely, addressing scar tissue, core strength, and any pain you may be feeling.
-
It is absolutely never too late! Your body is incredibly resilient, and we consistently see amazing results with patients who are years—or even decades—postpartum. We are here to help your body heal and feel its best, no matter how much time has passed.
